Here's how the Anthem Rush Tribute band describes themselves on their MySpace Page:

JUST LIKE RUSH!!!! Well...almost...well...we try...but trying to cover the coolest band on the planet is a huge challenge for any musician... "Some are born to rule the world, live their fantasies, but most of us dream about the things we'd like to be...sadder still to watch it die, than never to have known it..." So true... As Rush fans, and musicians, we are proud to get this opportunity, and "live that fantasy"... enough said...

Bill (Dirk)- Bass, Keys, Samples, Vocals
George (Pratt)- Drums and Percussion
Rob (Lerxt)- Electric and Acoustic Guitars/ backing vocals

What I think about Anthem band:
OMG!! You have got to see Anthem! I tell my friends all the time, "if I ever tell you that you HAVE to be there, or that you NEED to see a great band that I have seen, you better listen to me". For some reason I just "know" a great band when I see them, and Anthem is definitely a great band. From the first note they played until the last, I felt as though I was listening to RUSH. Personally, I have not followed the music of RUSH other than what I have heard on the radio over the years, but I do know that their drummer Neil Peart is considered by some to be one of "the greatest drummers" in Rock History, so that in itself causes me to take notice...I can't wait to see them again! I hope to see you there too!

Dudley Taft Blues Overkill

As one of my very favorite Blues bands in the Seattle area, Dudley Taft Blues Overkill has what it takes to entertain any crowd. I love the wide variety of music of Blues, Jazz and Rock 'n' Roll that is played by a group of exceptionally talented musicians lead by front man/guitarist, Dudley Taft, with amazing bassist, Evan Sheeley, Scott Vogel on drums, and newcomer keyboardist, Frank Holman. Without a doubt, an evening with Dudley Taft Blues Overkill is absolutely an evening of fun and great music for sure! Check them out! Dudley Taft Blues Overkill MySpace Site

About Dudley Taft Blues Overkill:

The firm base of Jazz and Rock 'n' Roll is the Blues.
Universal in appeal, Blues has the ability to reach inside and stir things up, and we all like a good stirring.
Mix a little Mississipi Delta with some Texas Blues, add some British Invasion then temper with Northewst Rock sensibilty and you get Blues Overkill.
Just the right stuff in the right amounts...

Band Boost "SOMAR"

11/27/08 | by garyproducer [mail] | Categories: News

"SOMAR" (pronounced Summer) is an original rock and roll band from Seattle, WA fronted by the amazing Somar Macek. If your looking for over-produced pop tunes, synthetic studio instruments, effect laden vocals, or electronic drums, you won't find them here. What you will find is a straight forward, hard rockin' band, backing up the best female rock singer to come around in years. SOMAR is in the studio working on their debut CD that will be released in the Winter of 2008.

Message from Teri:

Being a fan of Somar Macek and J.C. Rox for the past two years, I knew that any band they would be involved in would be a great one. However, to my surprise...the band Somar is even better than I had expected! When I first started listening to them, I had no idea that I was going to be listening to a band whose songs were mostly originals. I was blewn away! Listening to their songs, I laughed, shouted, and literally cried... their song, "I Miss My Friend", (spoke volumes to me as I know it will to others who will hear it), and their rockin' out upbeat song "I Got The Music In Me" I know will literally bring the house down at any venue they will play at! Believe me, SOMAR is one band you won't want to miss seeing...like me, you will be totally blown away!

Band Boost "SOULSTICE"

The "Soulstice" band has rocked Kitsap County and Pierce County for over 6 years. Soulstice is a 6 piece band and are well known for their heavy percussion sound, smooth harmonies, and genre versatility. They also feature as a FLEETWOOD MAC Tribute band.

Soulstice

LEE DAVIS-Vocals, Rhythm Guitar

RICK WALBAUM-Bass,Vocals,Sound Engineer

TOM DAVENPORT-Lead Guitar,Vocals

JOEY WALBAUM-Keyboards, Vocals

RONNIE NEWTON-Drums

IKE SUTTON-Percussion

I really enjoyed "Soulstice" because they play such a wide variety of music from rock, to easy listening and they also play great dance music too. The music was so well performed, that it brought back many memories for me of all the music I had loved so much when I was younger. Personally, I've never seen Fleetwood Mac perform live before, but when I heard Soulstice play the Fleetwood Mac songs, I felt like LeeAnn's voice sounded so much like Stevie Nicks that it felt like Stevie was singing right there in front of me.

Band members LeeAnn Davis (guitar) and Rick Walbaum (bass) are both husband and wife and sing really well, and the keyboardist of the band is Rick's son, Joe Walbaum who is an amazing singer too. They are family, but the whole band makes you a part of the family too! Tom Davenport is awesome on guitar, and I especially enjoyed the fact that the Soulstice band has both drums and congas in their band. Ronnie Newton (drums) is an amazing drummer and Ike Sutton, who's in charge of percussions, is absolutely entertaining to watch.

Band Boost "No Quarter"

11/05/08 | by admin [mail] | Categories: Band Boost Music!

I got the Band Boost idea after I went out to see an amazing band called, "Soulstice" play at a great bar in Port Orchard called Desert Lounge. As soon as I heard their band I knew I needed to tell all my friends about them, so that night I decided to get my picture taken with the band, then the next day I posted our picture (and a link to Soulstice's MySpace site) on the front page of my MySpace page instead of putting their picture in one of my photo albums where only a few people would happen to look at it.
The reason why I decided on the name "Band Boost" was because I figured that no matter who we are as a person, or as a group, we all need some sort of help getting where we want to go in life, especially in the music industry. So that's why I decided to use the word "boost" in the title. Since then, I have featured other bands on my site, and now my Band Boost is being featured on the Rock The Blues site. Overall, my desire is to help more bands gain popularity and allow myself the privilege of meeting a lot more talented musicians out there who would like me to possibly feature their band in one of my Band Boosts in the future. -Teri

Personal message from Teri : As a Live Music fan, I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand numerous performances by amazingly brilliant musicians here in the Seattle area. So to all my musician friends out there, I just want to say, "thank you, thank you, thank you" for all your hard work and perseverance to become the phenomenal musicians that you are, and for allowing me to showcase you and your band in my Band Boost section on this Rock The Blues site. What is most important to me as your fan and your friend, is for me to somehow convey to other people what I see in you...the talented musician that you are.
